Dr. Almeida has over 200 peer-reviewed publications and over 150 national and international conference and keynote presentations. His research interests include proliferative vitreoretinopathy, infectious endophthalmitis, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration and complex surgical techniques. He has received numerous awards from the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and is regularly recognized in Top Doctor Awards.
